Here’s your weekly opportunity to enjoy tales from others who also love rowing. This weekly round-up is for a short list of interesting, in-depth articles for you to read over the weekend.

This week in the rowing online news several stories caught our eye:

  • Fancy Rowing ties – a lovely article about getting together a group order for ‘old fashioned’ knitted neck ties.  They’ve sourced a manufacturer in Milan who’ll make them in silk, cotton or cashmere/wool.  Go on, you know you want one….
  • See the Australian Sports Minister rowing…. she lost a bet about how many Paralympic medals they’d win!  Good for her.
  • Carl de Beer  from South Africa has started a new magazine, Backsplash.  He writes

We really want to bring Rowing and the way we distribute our information into the 21st century…so we have made use of all media available to us. We have a twitter account @BacksplashMagz we also have a FB account: and finally we have our website (needs money to make it good but we getting there).
