Hi Everyone! I’d love to get a crew together to row the Head of the Charles this year.
I just graduated from university, where I coxed for four years. No amount of experience, of course, diminishes the allure of the Charles. I absolutely love head races; I love the opportunity to shave seconds with good steering, to pass under the bridges of cheering onlookers, to throw in my two cents’ worth to make boats go fast and feel good. Head racing feels like an adventure to me that sprint racing just can’t match.
I know there have got to be rowing devotees like me out there – fans of racing for the sake of racing, with whomever shares their enthusiasm.
So I’d love to put together a crew to race together at the Charles this year. I need to feel the rush again of competition, of triumph after an amazing move. Let’s find a group of us who all feel this way and take back our identities as racers this fall.

I’d love to. But do I need to be female, or already in the US? What’s the deal?
Hello Chelsea! How well do you know the HOCR course? We may have 2 boats and may need a cox. Are you comfortable steering a bow loader?
