Crossing the Line aims to bring greater insight and understanding into the retirement process and wellbeing of elite athletes.
The research is focused on the following question:
How does retiring from elite sport affect the identity and wellbeing of former athletes?
We hope the findings bring benefit to the athlete community, organisations and individual professionals responsible for providing support services to elite athletes as they transition out of competitive sport.
Chris is looking for retired athletes willing to participate in a 45–60 minute individual interview.
In order to participate in the study, you must:
- Have competed professionally at a world championship and/or Olympic level within your particular sport.
- Be retired for at least 6 months, up to 24 months.
- Be currently employed in a ’post-retirement’ professional career.
- Be over 18 years old.
