Ruder Regatta Tag zu Gunsten Hospiz Organisation – Land O’ Lakes, Florida
Der Regatta Tag ist angebrochen auch in Andacht an einen Freund werde ich ein Rennen fahren und in Gedanken seiner ehmals frohen Stimme horchen.
Ein Leibchen ist gestiftet vorne mit Gönner’s Namen voll bedruckt rückseits, für Karlo, mit eigener Hand beschriftet.
Mein würdig altes Holz Skiff, acht Meter lang und dreissig Zentimeter breit ist gut bestellt und für ein schnelles Rennen wohl bereit.
Am Start, die Ruderer sind konzentriert das Ziel, weit über dem stillen See
ist gut markiert und anvisiert.
Los geht’s auf Pfiff, erst mit kurzen, dann mit langen Ruderschlägen preschen alle in die selbe Richtung da bleibt kaum Zeit die Taktik zu erwägen.
Werden die Kräfte meiner Renn Kollegen halten oder flieg ich an ihnen vorbei schon geht’s dem Ziel entgegen, mein Skiff war schnell
herzhaftes rudern für Karlo und Hospiz – das Resultat, bleibt diesmal Einerlei.

I wonder whether you would take a poem in German Language?
The occasion for the poem written by me.
The Land o’ Lakes Rowing Club (Florida) held its yearly fund raiser row for Hospice of that Region (End of Life Support NGO)
You may be familiar with Hospice a wonderful good doing volunteer organization.
Around the same time I received a message that a very dear long time friend had passed away in Hamburg Germany and the suggestion was that instead of sending flowers one would make a contribution to Hospitz Hamburg which assisted my Friend during his last days.
So I dedicated my regatta race for the two organizations to the family of my friend and sent a story about the regatta race in form of a poem.
If that would be of interest I would not mind sharing a great row for a great cause.
