After three weeks training in Munich we raced the World Cup regatta where we finished with a silver medal behind a
strong British combination. We came away from the regatta with a very clear idea of what we need to work on and a lot of determination heading into the next block of training. We are now training in Hazewinkel and staying in the little city of Mechelen, in Belgium, which is like a ‘home away from home’ for us as we come here nearly every year. It’s great being able to cycle to training each day and also to be able to spend our afternoons off going to the cinemas.
We have had a couple of great session on the RP3’s and drew quite a crowd of spectators as some of the local canoe poloists seemed fascinated to see us rowing side by side for so long!
Less than a month to go until the games start and we can’t wait to get there!”
