Does this sound like you?
Are you enthusiastic, focused driven and looking for a job that can personally challenge you? If so, you could be the person we are looking for. The Royal Shrewsbury School Boat Club is located on the banks of the River Severn and is the envy of rowing schools across the country, as is a recently built rowing tank set into the river bank.
A unique opportunity has become available for an experienced Boatman to come and work at the heart of Shrewsbury School at the Boat Club. As Boatman you will have proven experience of managing and maintaining a boathouse together with sound knowledge of the marine industry. Essentially you must have excellent carpentry and DIY skills for the repairing of boats/hulls. You must be a dedicated enthusiast for the sport of rowing with a very flexible and hands-on approach to assist with the rapidly changing work environment.
This is a physically demanding role and you must be able to cope with heavy lifting, carrying and manual handling. You must hold a full driving licence that qualifies you to tow a boat trailer.
This is an ideal role for an enthusiastic and dedicated individual who wants an opportunity to work in one of the UK’s longest standing and respected Boat Clubs.
