This video demonstrates in a very good way the acceleration and de-deceleration while driving your body into the finish. But before you starts your exercises: Be sure your rowing sequence as Arms – Body – Legs – Legs – Body – Arms is under control.

What is the ratio between recovery and drive? “Well”, Susan says, “there is no real perfect ratio and all depends very much on your racing speed. But for training purposes, I would recommend a 2:1 ratio between recovery and stroke.”
