RAISING MONEY FOR THE PROSTATE CANCER CHARITY IN MEMORY OF ANDY RIPLEY
On the 17th June 2012 I will be cycling from Chiswick Bridge to Dormansland, home town of the late Andy Ripley, and finishing at The Thames Valley Skiff Club, Dudley Road, Walton on Thames arriving about Midday.
I trained and rowed with Andy, the Ex England Rugby International, for 10yrs at the Tideway Scullers School before he was diagnosed with advanced Prostate Cancer. During his fight against the disease he worked tirelessly for The Prostate Cancer Charity even writing a book about his experience with all proceeds going to the Charity.
I feel the least I can do is to put up with a bit of pain and complete this challenge in his memory!

At the moment I have one riding partner but if anyone wants to join and raise some money themselves you are welcome. The distance is about 65miles. We plan to leave Chiswick about 0700hrs and finish between 1200 and 1300hrs.
At the end of the ride my hair, which has not been cut since Andy’s funeral two years ago on the 17th June, will be cut off and gifted to the Little Princes Trust. An organisation which provides wigs for children undergoing treatment who have lost their hair.
