What is Tour Rowing?
Love to row? Love to travel? Love a rowing holiday? Why not combine both? Tour Rowing is offered by many organisations. Opportunities to scull and sweep in spectacular locations – Germany, Ireland, England, Norway, Italy,Switzerland, California, Quebec amongst many others.
How does it work, exactly?
All tour operators offer a full travel package where rowing is one of many experiences. Some trips are point-to-point down a river – the classic rowing tour. We were interested to find out that on other trips you can row with different clubs in a diversity of locations, enjoying varied equipment and views. In addition to the trips some organisations offer private tours for clubs or alumni groups.
And when you’re not on the water?
A rowing holiday goes beyond: Although rowing is the raison d’être for your trip, you might also enjoy wine tasting, hiking, cycling, museum visits, or maybe a cooking class. While the groups are small, you are welcome to bring your non-rowing partner – there will be activities for them to do while you are rowing.
