We just received this email. It’s always sad to see a good initiative close – but hopefully their
Facebook group will continue to grow.
IMO the site was ill-conceived because EY failed to support it with sufficient engaging community management. As the instigator of the Rowperfect online community, we know how much time and effort it takes to grow a community focused around a single interest. Few people are interested in women plus sport – most like sport and then the women in that sport.
EY are to be commended for setting up the group and I’m sure Facebook will be a good place to provide support and community sharing. It takes us around 5 hours a week just to manage our public social profiles and so we know how much work this entails – PLUS you have to share engaging content too.
Dear Rebecca,
Your online community account will be disabled next week. Please save any important content you have stored there including resumes, profile information, uploaded files or saved jobs.
We hope you will continue to be part of the Women Athletes Business Network by joining our Facebook group: www.facebook.com/groups/womenathletesnetwork.
If you have any questions or comments please do not hesitate to email womenathletesnetwork@ey.com at any time. Thank you again for your support.
Sincerely,
The Women Athletes Business Network Team
