In today’s economic climate businesses are constantly looking for ways to get the most from their employees whilst saving where possible. Team building is often trotted out as a simple solution to bind the workforce together but more often than not it’s one of a few activities such as paintballing, heading to the pub etc. Also rowing is teambuilding
On the River Thames in South-West London, Twelve Degrees is bucking the trend by offering corporate rowing, a team building day out with uses genuine team work to bring the best out of the participants.
The day starts with a safety briefing in the morning before heading out in crews to begin to learn the basic technique. Each crew has their own coach and are sent out in stable coastal shells to allow easier rowing. Through the day the crews are gradually brought up to speed and eventually they line up against each other on the river to battle over a short distance and take the honours of the day.
Rowing is teambuilding
As an event it can cater for sizes of groups from 2 to 30 and tries to achieve the best value day wherever possible. Some of the recent feedback has been really encouraging:
“Our clients had a great time on the river this morning learning the basics of rowing and from where I was standing they looked like pro’s when they raced across the finish line just 3 hours later!”

“Thanks again for a wonderful and eventful day – I am strongly recommending this to colleagues and other PA’s both within Acercy and externally as a really good fun team event!”
