Junior Rowers Video contest
We’ve just had a message from the River and Rowing Museum asking if we can promote the new Knowing Rowing Competition – launched today!
Junior rowers can enter by making a short film telling us about something or someone from their club that inspires them.
The prize is a new Flip camera which Debbie Flood is going to take on training camp this week and record some inspirational messages.
Entries are open from now until Feb 17th (end of half term). Films sent to us will be posted on the Knowing Rowing youtube channel, providing we have parental permission for any under 18s in the films.
The contest is running off the Knowing Rowing Facebook page.
Coach, you’re the best
University of Worcester coach, James Wilton is up to win 1,000 for his club in the contest sponsored by Perkins Slade Insurance. He has got 375 votes and the current winning coach has over 600 – can you help him by registering with as many valid email addresses as you can muster to boost the chances of this young University club?
James Wilton quite simply lives and breathes rowing. As a coach, the club appears to be his life! Since his arrival at the University of Worcester Rowing Club in 2004, at which time the club owned 2 boats and had 5 active members, he has been a driving force in its impressive development.
