This book is brilliant: it’s what all club officers should be considering when choosing and deploying coaches to work with people new to the sport. 

It is useful of course for coaches too, but I suspect as a sport we leave too much to the willing volunteer-coach, grateful of course that someone is pleased to give up their time to take out the novices, and forgetting they could do with support and structure to make it a valuable experience for everyone.
